Barbara Askew

Barbara Askew grew up in Eton with Windsor Castle as part of her daily view. She is a London Blue Badge Guide with almost 30 years’ experience and as the Site Representative at Windsor Castle for the Guild of British Tourist Guides she is the acknowledged expert on Windsor Castle and the surrounding area among Blue Badge Tourist Guides.  She lectures on the subject for the Arts Society and for Blue Badge Guide Training Courses.

Her experience and qualifications include:

  • Diploma in Education
  • Royal Horticultural Society Certificate in Horticulture
  • Lecturer for the Arts Society (formerly NADFAS)
  • Lecturer and Course Director for Blue Badge Training Courses

Roger Askew

With degrees in English Literature and Music Roger Askew brings a wide experience to his lecturing. He was a chorister at Wells Cathedral, then a Choral Scholar at Magdalen College, Oxford and spent many years as a professional singer in London.

His experience and qualifications include:

  • M.A. Honours degree in English Literature (Oxford)
  • B.A. Honours Degree in Music (London)
  • Chairman of the Arts Society Windsor
  • Lecturer for The Arts Society (formerly NADFAS)
